Eriana Leon
Policy Intern
Eriana (she/her) supports Raising Justice’s policy initiatives by working to identify the roots of social injustice, diving into topics including police brutality and systematic racism.
Eriana has always been interested in criminal justice reform. When a mentor told her about Raising Justice, she immediately knew it was the right fit. She loves seeing the organization bring young people from different backgrounds and experiences together to advocate for change, and she’s a strong believer in the power young people have to influence elected officials to towards legislation for a more equitable future. Through her experiences, Eriana has witnessed the effects of over-policing in communities of colors and in schools, and she is ready to rewrite the narrative of BIPOC criminalization through her work with the organization.
Eriana is currently a freshman at Portland Community College.
