Li (He/Him) acts as the key lead for Raising Justice's administrative work, focusing on grant writing, yearly budgeting, and income streams.

 

Li joined the team to have an impact on social justice work in Portland—a community deeply plagued with systemic policing issues. Raising Justice has given Li the opportunity to join a growing nonprofit, utilizing his skill set to assist with overall operationalization and expansion efforts. Li views the Raising Justice approach as especially unique, because the organization circumvents traditional bureaucratic methods and relies on direct action, guided by the stories, experiences, and demands of young people fighting for change.

 

Li’s dream is to inspire other young people to speak out and take action on the issues that impact their public safety and mental & physical wellbeing. 

 

Li is currently a freshman at the University of Chicago.
